Back by popular request is our water sports camp at Trent Lock Scout Activity Centre, which will take place the 4th to 6th October 2019.
Trent Lock Scout Camp site is on an island and can only be reached by ferry. The following water activities should be available: – sailing, canoeing, kayaking, rafting. These are subject to the weather conditions. All the staff operating water activities on the weekend hold national governing body qualifications.
The total cost of the camp is £55 for the weekend; this includes transport by coach, food, camp site fees and activities.
Places on the camp / coach are limited, a £25 deposit will secure a place with the balance to be paid two weeks before the event making this the 20th Sept. Our preferred method of payment is via our website www.resu.org.uk. This helps to cut down on our admin time allowing us to run other activities. If you are paying online there is no need to print any other paperwork as all relevant details will be captured online however please ensure that your child’s details are up to date in OSM. Please ask if you need a link sending to access your child’s details.
All Explorers attending the event do so on the understanding that the following code of conduct is adhered to.
Event Code of conduct
We expect a reasonable standard of behaviour, which will take into account the feelings and wishes of others, particularly of other Explorer Scouts. For example, we would expect that you:
· Respect any rules imposed.
· Keep noise down to a reasonable level.
· No alcohol to be consumed.
· No Smoking for any Under 18’s
You will take responsibility for your own conduct in keeping to the agreed timetable, regard for your fellow Explorers, the Leaders and members of the public will be essential.
You are expected to be adequately prepared for this event, bearing in mind the nature of the activities and weather conditions. Please ask for a kit list if required.
You will agree to any final decision made by any member of staff.
The normal disciplinary code will be used for any breaches of this code of conduct or Scout regulations as summarised in the Scout Web Site.
In the case of an emergency, if your next of kin cannot be contacted, a member of staff can take, or sign for, any action which may be required.
