Presentation night

Fitzwilliam-Arms Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel, United Kingdom

Once again we will be hosting our annual presentation night at The Fitzwilliam Arms at Parkgate. As always the main stars of the night will be you, Explorers. All year David has been collecting video clips of you doing what you do best, having fun and now it’s time to see who made it into the film review.  The plan is to arrive by 7pm ready for the review. We will of course have our silly awards so if you have any ideas, any photos that you think are funny then send them in. After the raffle  (free raffle) we will have a buffet before dancing the night away and I challenge you all to learn the Jerusalema dance (It was played at the last presentation night but we didn’t know the routine, lets see if we can master it this time).

If you want a reminder of the details, please download the activity form below and stick it on your fridge.

Cold camp

Walesby Scout Camp Brake Road, Walesby

Will it be cold for this years cold camp? Will Malc’s request for snow be answered?  Are you brave enough to brave the elements? Once again we will be meeting at Walesby Forest (Please make own way to the site) for our annual Cold camp.  All I can say is that it will be cold and you will be cooking your own evening meal, whether that’s rabbit  (or as Malc prefers to call them a wabbit) or something else we will find out on the day.  For a “stick on your fridge reminder” download the form below.

We have a lot of Explorers who won’t have done cold camp before so Malc has kindly provided a suggested kit list.  Please remember that it can be cold and you need to keep warm. If you need to loan anything please ask. We will provide the basha’s and can provide bivvi bags (waterproof army bag) that will add an extra layer should you need it. Please let us know if you wish to book one in advance.
